Doug Duncan

Doug Duncan is a independent fly fishing instructor in the Sacramento area. Doug teaches both single handed and two handed fly casting. His students range from young teens to experienced anglers. He has over 40 years of fly fishing experience and has fished from Alaska to the Florida Keys.

Doug is also a tournament spey caster and has finished in the top ten several times at Spey O Rama tournament held at the Golden Gate casting club in San Francisco, Calif.

Doug worked for the Orvis Company and helped design the Helios spey rods and has served as a consultant to other companies in the region. He currently works part time in a fly shop, FishWest, Sacramento.

Doug enjoys teaching others about his passion and you will often see him on the American casting his two handed rods.
